I've always wanted to have a milkshake in a glass like the last picture, even though I don't really like milkshakes at all....

So recently I've noticed that almost all of the shoes I own are either boots or heels. I mean I have a pair of converse, but I'm kind of throwing them into the boots section because they're high tops, and ballet flats that last a month don't count...

Anyway, more to the point I'm on the hunt for the perfect pair of loafer-y kind of shoes and figured the best place to start my hunt would be Urban Outfitters. I was right.

I'm currently more swayed to the first two pairs, which are naturally the most expensive.

Just dropping by to let you all know that I'm still alive....

Things have been really chaotic for the past few weeks and I'm completely out of sync with the blogosphere. I feel so lost and confused! I've had mocks and coursework deadlines flying everywhere and out of the blue (probably the most inappropriate time might I add) my social life just got exciting. Hmm, lifes weird ways....

Anyway, yeah, I'm here and I promise I'll post something interesting soon; I just have two science exams, german and french writing exams, and some physics and textiles coursework to get through first.... SIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHH.

So yesterday I went on a trip to town, with my shopping list in order to get all that stuff mentioned a few posts back. I ended up getting a new top, a necklace, earings, foundation, a Quentin Tarantino box set and other various objects that I didn't actually want. No glitter hairspray. Hmm, I wish I could be more efficient.

I really like the outfit I'm wearing here. The top is from Topshop, and the shorts that I'm wearing (that you can't see in the pictures above but I'll put a picture below) are from American Apparel. It's just so gloriously slouchy and perfect.

For the perfect Christmas Eve ambiance, play the first clip on top of the second clip and act like you're actually sat around a real fire. The second clip is The Temptations' rendition of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, incase anyone was wondering. It's been my number one Christmas song this year.

Today for some reason my Dad decided to take my brother and I out for lunch at Pizza Express. I've decided I should probably try and get a job at Pizza Express now, because every guy that worked there was goooooorgeous. Seriously, every single one. Anyway, after that we came home and drank wine, and went to the pub across the road and drank wine, then came back and drank wine, then watched The Nativity (which is great by the way) and drank more wine, which brings us to now. Quarter to nine on Christmas Eve. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas day and a happy new year (I'll most definitely post between now and then, I just couldn't think what else to say).

PS. I'm doing the advent calender tomorrow guys, or maybe boxing day, we'll see...

So today was one of those days when you get so bored you decide to cut your hair and regret it the moment you make the first snip but kind of have to carry on anyway. I only cut my fringe as it had grown an inch past my eyebrows and I hadn't been wearing it forwards, but still, kind of stupid.

The fact of the matter is I really badly want my hair like in the above pictures. I did it before, aged 14 but my hairdresser didn't really get the right feel for it and I got stuck with the ever so nice nickname of "Dora The Explorer". I since decided that I only want long hair and have been growing it eeeever since. I also have a new hairdresser and am wondering if maybe now is the right time to give it a second shot? But then all that growing seems like suck a waste. Before it was cut right near my jawline, but I think if I did it again I'd go for a more elongated look like in the above pictures. Hmmm, we'll see.

Recently I've been accumulating a list of things I so desperately need to buy in my head, however the list is getting a bit out of hand and I thought it was about time I wrote it down, so where else better to write it than my blog, right?

THINGS I SO DESPERATELY NEED:

Glitter hairspray
Pink, or orange, or purple hair dye (I haven't decided yet)
Foundation - I've been steeling my mums for over a month now, which is crazy because she is in fact several shades lighter than me.
A new foundation brush
Some black, or really dark blue nail varnish
A flask from Urban Outfitters
Green and red food paste
White fondant
A cardigan

I'm quite sure the list was longer, but you know what it's like; as soon as you try to write it down you forget. Oh well. I think when I actually get round to going out and buying all of those things it'll be a really satisfying shopping trip, something to look forward to eh? I was actually supposed to go out and get it all yesterday, but I'm still ill. Devastating.

I also really desperately need some invitations to some parties. The other weekend I went down to London to see some of my family that live down there, and my cool, DJing uncle started quizzing me on my plans. The conversation went as follows:

Cool Uncle: So, Olivia, got any Christmas parties planned?

Me: Er, no, not really...

Cool Uncle: Oh, well bet you're doing something for New Year then?

Me: Well, er, no.

After an awkward pause the conversation moves on to the topic of New York.

So yeah, need to get invited to some parties.

It seems that as much as I love glitter, velvet, daisies and neon hair, the appeal of nineties grunge will never fade and I will never stop striving to try and look that cool. I've been majorly inspired by the last picture to dig out a pair of old faded ballet tights and team them with my docs.... watch this space guys.

WHOOOOOOO!

So, I'm not going to lie, I wanted this post to be a lot more exciting. I know, I know, I promised I'd do a vlog, and I tried, honestly I did! After a while I took to youtube, y'know just looking at videos of people that do vlog trying to pick up some tips. Then I took a trip down memory lane, huh, bad idea. So like 2 years ago (I think) I was singing Lady GaGa in maths - doing the dance routine and everything and then my friend was like "hey, you know what would be funny? If you were to do a tutorial on youtube on how to be like Lady GaGa'..... and so I did. Obviously not seriously, it was a jokey setting and it was only really meant for me and my friends. It ended up getting more hits than I wanted and quite a few horrid comments. So yeah, I was just looking at that, reading the comments, and I kind of psyched myself out of vlogging. I'm sorry, I'm just not quite ready to share my lisp with the world once again, le sigh.

Aaaaaanyyyway, so I was trying to think what else I could do for this post; a bombardment of pictures? a few random songs? Err, no. Instead you can get a poorly written essay ;)

Seriously though, I would just like to thank you guys for following and staying interested even when I seemed to loose interest. I know that these days in the world of blogging 100 followers isn't much of an achievement but I'm really excited regardless! I feel like I'm writing an acceptance speech for an Oscar or something, and of course an acceptance speech wouldn't be complete without listing loads of people that helped you....

Alex Rose - Duuh, kind of obliged to mention her since she's my best friend and photographer for all events with the RoRo's.
Lauren of Ironic Fashion - I actually think she might of been on of my first followers, or at least the first follower that decided to comment. She has really wicked style and I suggest you check her out.
Malibu Mara - again, I think she was one of my first followers and has always been a great supporter of the blog. Her blog is always interesting, probably why she has 10x as many followers as me ;)
Brandon of Virgin Weekend - This guy always posts really cool stuff on his blog and has become a bit of a friend to me. You should all definitely check him out.
Jayy - haven't heard much from him in a while, but a while ago we had a bit of a cool project going between us and Malibu Mara, not sure whats become of it, I think it just kind of fizzled out but hey, that's life! You should definitely check him out.

Ahhh, those great days when the school bus doesn't turn up after an hour of waiting in the snow, so your friendly neighbor sends everyone in the village home and rings the school to inform them that we wont be attending today. Beginning to appreciate living in the tiniest village ever.

School wasn't actually cancelled today, our headmistress would rather die then loose potential funding, but apparently if the school bus doesn't turn up by 9 we allowed to go home. We waited until quarter past. Devotion or what?

So yeah, just been chillin' (haha, pun) in the snow today. By myself of course, since all the loooosers that live in places populated with more than 10 people under the age of 30 were at school. Mwuahhaahhahahahaaha. It's amazing how much an extra day off school can brighten your mood.

Sooooo yeaaaah, it's been snowing in November. Weird. The snow is literally a foot deep in my garden. I've never seen so much snow in my life. Hopefully, it'll keep snowing like this all the way through December and then Christmas will be really magical.

Just postin' a picture of my outfit. I went to Alex's house after school today, and she forced me to get changed so we could take gothicy pictures for her art project. Turns out in the end she couldn't be bothered. Typical Alex Rose ;). So I thought, even though I don't look gothic I do like my outfit, so I'll do an outfit post - et voila! The skirt is actually really long which I love. Honestly, I can't say I'm a regular visiter to Next, but I got a giftcard for my birthday which urged me to have a look and I was actually pretty impressed.

Swiftly on to another topic, I really love these jeans from Topshop. Seriously love. The thing is, I can't even imagine what I'd wear with them without looking too mumsy, I mean what shoes can you wear with flares?!?! So yeah, styling suggestions to convince myself to buy them would be appreciated. (I know no one will comment, haha)

Whilst I haven't actually got tickets yet, they don't go on sale until Wednesday, I am absolutely so excited. I'm not actually a super hardcore fan, I only have their Greatest Hits but yeah, I'm weeing. I think it may be the combination of a) not having seen a band live for quite a while, b) missing the chance to see them at Leeds fest and c) the fact that this morning I had a random urge to listen to them and have been listening since - weird huh?

This post is likely to bore you all, but in the oh so boring world of me I was chillaxin' in bed shuffling songs on my iPod. I was in one of those moods when I'm bored of listening to nothing but No Doubt, but I couldn't think what else would satisfy my need to hear ska, punk and pop all at once, so I was like "hey, lets press shuffle". Then, whilst repeatedly pressing next about 50 times, I remembered a question on a questionnaire that I filled out on myspace yeaaarrs ago. The question was "What are the first 10 songs that come up on shuffle on your iPod?". I think it's the only reason I bothered doing the questionnaire in the first place. I don't know why but I'm really in the party mood as of late. Not sure if it's due to too many hours spent flicking through December Vogue or wether it's because I've kind of been more socially active than usual in the past few weeks, but yeah, really wanting the opportunity to dress up some more. I think it's probably Vogue, because usually going out too much has a negative affect on me. I've worked out that I can only really handle one major weekend a month, more than that and I can't cope. Sigh, I need to work on my party stamina.

PS. Have I ever mentioned before how much I want a Versus skirt/dress? Because I really badly want one. My textiles final project is basically a mission to replicate the skirt on the left. The pleating is killing me.

Yeah so, I'm supposed to have some kind of idea with what A Levels I want to take and which university courses I'd like to do. There's just nothing I want to do and/or enjoy doing. I thought I had it figured out, take maths, two sciences and french. Done. Sorted. Apart from now I'm thinking I might want to keep going to fashion college as an option, even though my parents disapprove, which means I'd have to take textiles to have a portfolio.... or maybe I should take english, because, well, my teacher said I'd find it an easy A.

Eurgh, why can't someone just decide what you're going to do in life. Fingers crossed I marry someone rich.

Soo, after a lovely and eventful 16th birthday and an accidental break from blogging, I find myself in a hotel room in terminal 5 at Heathrow ready for an 8am flight to New York. (WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO).

I've decided to do a New York outfit diary kind of thing, I'm not going to promise updates every day, but I'm going to take a hell of a lot of photos. I wasn't actually planning on taking my laptop, but my laziness and french homework kind of made it a requirement.

Part of the excitement of my trip to New York in 22 DAYS (!!!) is taking a trip to Forever 21. I've been trying my best to refrain from constantly being on the website planning what to buy, but as you can see, it's hard to resist.

Howeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeeeer, I just found out that Forever 21 will be launching here in the UK in November. Erm, WHAT!?! Honestly, a few months ago I would of been so excited about this, but because of my own selfishness I'm kind of gutted. I have to admit, I tried to resist bringing these up because quite obviously everyones aware of their existance by now, but really since new colours and versions of it are popping up it's a really hard thing to resist.

I'm thinking the ones in suede are my favourites at the moment. They kind of look more luxurious to me, and less I'm-wearing-stripper-shoes-y. And that blue pair just have the most amazing colour ever. Howeveeeeeeeeeerrrrrr, I kind of love the sparkly pair *quickly hides under the table*.

What can I say? I have a soft spot for glitter and tackiness!

Fearne Cotton isn't really anyone I'd ever thought much about. I was kind of indifferent to her, she just reminds me of kids tv to be perfectly honest. However, the other day I watch Fearne Cotton and Mischa Barton and suddenly realized she's pretty cool and has really great style. Mischa Barton on the other hand I disliked, she seemed kind of rude and up herself, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, so this week I watched Fearne Cotton and Perez Hilton, and it was then that I decided to do a blog post on how much I like her style. Unfortunately the internet didn't have much to offer in terms of pictures but oh well.

I love how she adds something to what would otherwise be a fairly average outfit. Like in the top picture with the sunglasses and red themed rings, or in the middle one with the belt. It just kind of makes her outfit 10 times cooler.....

I don't really like the last outfit, the proportions are kind of weird on top but I'm dying over the skirt so I had to post it!

I ordered 3 No Doubt CD's of amazon on Tuesday. I set it for next day delivery so that it would soften the blow of the first day back at school but no one was in to sign for them. So I ended up picking them up today instead.

So, I'm not even going to bother telling you about how majorly depressed the first day back at school has made me. Well, I might just tell you that I have the most horrible time table ever which includes double art - eurgh, double geography - eurgh, double science -neuah, and after school french and german lessons - eurgh. I also might have to slip in that the dining staff didn't make it any better. Everyone knows you're meant to have chips and chocolate crackle on your first day back, not that fishy, sloppy crap you were serving up! Anyway...

To kind of keep my mind off school and how rubbish it is to be 15 etc. I have to keep reminding myself that it's only 7 weeks until the October holidays (don't know why I'm saying only, it's ages away) and in that week I do in fact go to New York! Whoo!

My friend said that she didn't think I'd be impressed with New York because I'm not really impressed with anything, but we'll see. To occupy time and distract myself from the ever growing pile of homework I've decided to compile a list of things that I would buy in New York if I were a millionaire. Erm, all of it's from Pixie Market...

It's just a note to say I'm sorry my blogging rate has been so crap recently and that over the next week or so it may get even crapper. I go back to school on Wednesday which means I have two days to do science, art and textiles coursework. Eh.

Whatever, I'm not going to even do my art coursework. I really couldn't hate that subject anymore, I've tried to drop it and apparently I can't, so if I fail it I couldn't care less. I'll just tell people I didn't actually take it, hah. I'll have extra GCSEs anyway.

I don't know why I'm listening to loads of french songs recently either. When I was DJing on our journey to France, my mum said it's good that I have an eclectic music taste. Apparently it makes you more mature - how that works I do not know.

I'm having a major love hate relationship with these two coats from Topshop. I can't decide if they're brilliant or absolutely vile. I've always kind of had a thing against leopard print. I don't know why. I guess I just found it tacky, but this kind of makes it, dare I say it, cute...ish. Hmm, I'm not sure. I'm definitely preferring the green one though.

I like the coat styled like this (polyvore is my new best friend). Just with some over the knee socks, a red Proenza Schouler satchel and some docs to toughen it up. Any thoughts?

 Yeah, it really sucked but after a few days posting appealing for it to be restored, here it is! I went to the Trafford Centre with my friend Kate yesterday and this is what I wore.

I've decided I'm going to try and do more outfit posts, just because they're more interesting than inspiration pictures and stuff.

The Trafford Centre was really insane, and I think the fact there's a Selfridges (which we spent waaaay too long in) there just makes it ten times better than any other shopping centre. So yeah, it was a great day. :)

So I just thought that I'd let you all know that Agyness Deyn shaved her head apparently quite a while ago. I hope loads of people don't already know this otherwise I'll feel pretty stupid, but when I saw it my jaw kind of dropped.

I really like it when super beautiful girls shave their heads, it looks so cool (part of the reason I think I like Maisie Cousins' pictures).

I really wish Agyness would up her game and start doing modeling again.

Sorry for my the overload of pictures, but this is me narrowing down.

You should all check out Maisie Cousins' photography (by clicking the link above) because it is really beautiful. All the pictures feel like they were taken a few years ago, which I absolutely love. Sure modern photography is great, but I really love it when pictures have that grainy, hazed feel about them - as if they were taken with my barbie camera that I used to drag around with me everywhere when I was six.

I was a big barbie and Spice Girl fiend.

...and on that note, I guess I'll share with you my favourite Spice Girls video. I had three Spice Girl videos and one of them was just full of their music videos. This one just sticks out in my memory so badly for some unbeknown reason as "Who Do You Think You Are?" was my favourite.

Les Copains

So I've got to admit, with all the camel, browns, and beiges floating about in various magazines, I was kind of disappointed. However, I was sat by the pool, reading my copy of Jalouse, learning new phrases such as "l'esprit de nouvelle elegance" when I came across the title "BEIGE ET ROCK" (the title wasn't the particularly grabbing aspect).

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that the label Les Copains has kind of made the prospect of boring, "sophisticated" colours more inviting by throwing some black latex in there. Sounds good to me. Maybe those wet look leggings are going to make a comeback?

I kind of like it mixed with the white too. Gives it a Christmassy, cosy kind of feel.

This must be the most writing I've done in a post for aaaages! It feels like I've written an essay - it's what the summer holidays does to you!

PS. There's this super amazing editorial in Jalouse that I want to blog so badly, but I can't find scans anywhere! Absolutely gutted. I'm going to show you all somehow though.

I have to say, in all honesty I'm not the biggest Kate Moss fan and I probably never will be. I've never really ever understood her appeal. However, the other day I saw an old editorial from 1993 and it clicked. She really was so stunning when she was younger. She just looked so fresh and pure, it's something you don't really get these days. I really can't get enough of her old look.

Since being enlightened, I kind of get why people like her so much now.

I suppose if you followed her from the start, and you still remember her as that 15 year old girl then you would love her. It's just a shame I wasn't born yet.

In need of some purity, I decided to ask Joe and Duke for their opinions on fashion, personal style and the reasons behind why people wear what they do. We also played dress-up in the park. So, do you guys pick out your own clothes?
Both: Yeah.

How would you describe your personal style?
Duke: Funky.
Joe: Girly.

Is it good or bad to look different?
Duke: It’s good, because if everyone wears the same thing then it’s boring and it just looks like everyone came out of the same house.

I'm completely loving the colour at the moment.

I just got a lilac blackberry and my nails are almost constantly coated in Barry M's pastelly shade. There's just something so summery and yummy about it, and anything summery and yummy is much welcomed by me right now.

I know you're all probably sick of Miu Miu and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but in my defense, these aren't actually Miu Miu. They're fakes on eBay, FOR UNDER £100!

I shat myself too....

So yeah, I'm tempted but I'm not into faking it (real reason: they don't have my size) but I thought I'd give you guys a heads up. You can also get some fakes of those pink sparrow ones with the crystals on. Just search "Miu Miu shoes sparrow" and they should all come up.

I just realised how lame this post is, but since I can't have them.....

So Lady GaGa on Friday. Wow. I don't really know where to begin. I'm suffering from major post-GaGa depression which isn't really helping with the organization of my brain (good job I have a ton of homework to do).

It was really the most awe inspiring thing I have ever seen in my life.

Truly.

It was just insane.

You can say what you like about her: you hate her, she's fake, she has crap music, whatever, but you can never, ever, ever say that she doesn't know how to put on a show. I'm literally shaking just thinking about it! It sounds lame, but at some points during it I was actually on the verge of tears. Eurgh, I hate not being able to put how amazing it was into words, I really can not do it justice.

Sigh.

I'm in love with Lady GaGa.
